First aid at Work Annual Refresher

Health and Safety Executive strongly recommends that all first-aiders undertake annual refresher training to maintain first-aiders continuous personal development.

Content

• Assessing the situation in an emergency
  

• Administering first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
  

• Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  

• Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
  

• Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
  

Duration
The learners will be required to attend all ½ days (3 - 4Hrs) in order to complete the course. 

Entry Requirements
No specific prior qualifications, learning or experience are required for the candidates undertaking the qualification. However, the nature of both the learning and assessment required for the qualification is such that candidates will need very basic literacy and numeracy skills.
